Shalom Bayit  (Shelter Against Domestic Violence In Jewish Homes) 

Women’s Re-Entry Scholarship Program at Diablo Valley College - We help support single mothers returning to school or college at Diablo Valley College by awarding scholarships to help cover their need for books, babysitters, transportation, etc.  $1000 scholarships are awarded to student who qualify.  We raise money for this through special fundraisers and also donations.

Knitting for Newborns at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center - We have a knitting program that provides knitted sweaters, hats, blankets and booties for all newborns at the Medical Center.  Please contact Claire if interested in knitting 925-947-5924   or claireknits@aol.com.  She has patterns and yarn for you to use or you can use your own yarn and pattern.

Winter Nights is a homeless shelter held at local churches and synagogues.  We donate money and items, such as pillows, twin sheets, towels that are collected from our members.   Cleaning Supplies: Disinfecting wipes, Lysol spray disinfectant, Bathroom cleansers (Day Program) Client Family needs : Single, twin size, fitted sheets (only), Pillows, Zippered Pillow protectors, Plastic Mattress covers, Ear plugs, Towels - washcloths, and bath towels, Shampoo & conditioners - family size, Feminine hygiene products, Socks - children, teen, adult, Baby wipes, Diapers - Sizes 4, 6 and newborn and Diapers - Goodnights for older children, Diaper pail liners , Garbage bags - Large, House slippers, Gift Cards for client needs ($20 - $25), Gas Cards: Shell, Chevron, Valero, etc., Target/Walmart cards, Safeway cards, Oil Changers (Jiffy Lube, Oil Changers), Client Services needs:  Ink cartridges for printers: HP 62 & 63 Black and color, Paper for printer (letter size), 3-ring binders - 1 inch (client’s resource binder), Accordion files - (for clients use), Manila filing folders – standard size, Sheet protectors, Plastic totes with lids (various sizes), Packing tape, Duct tape Client Shelter Supplies: Flashlights, AA and AAA batteries, Large garbage bags 

The Grateful Garment Project (TGGP) - NCJW is asking its members and the Rossmoor community to assist us in collecting new sweatpants any size to be included in the backpack that TGGP is putting together to help Human Trafficking Victims. If you want to participate in this project and donate sweatpants, contact Kathie Rieder at 925-891-4242 to pick them up or you can drop them off at her house. If you purchase them online you can have them sent directly to Kathie Rieder, 2301 Tice Creek Dr., #5, Entry Rockledge 1. If you would prefer to send a donation, please make it out to National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) and send it to Kathie and she will purchase the sweatpants for you.

Rossmoor Fund is a charity that helps people in need in the Rossmoor Senior Community.  We send a yearly donation to the Rossmoor fund from money we collect in our fund raisers and dues.

Solano and Contra Costa County Foodbank - We send a yearly donation to the Foodbank from money we collect in our fundraisers and dues.
